Tactical Shotgun
Tactical shotgun is a fun competition using shotguns, shooting behind cover and movement to multiple shooting positions, engaging a combination of clay, steel, and aerial targets. There will be a handicap time credit for shotguns with lower capacity so any style shotgun will work.
There will be two stages of 15-20 targets and we will shoot each stage twice. Some sort of belt shell holder would be recommended to carry your reloads.
Matches are open to members and non-members alike, so bring a friend! If you are coming to the Match for the first time and would like someone to team up with you to help you feel comfortable and answer any of your questions just let us know! We welcome new participants!

When
Monthly on the third Sunday following the Club work party.
Time
12:30 pm Set up. Please arrive for set up. This is a volunteer match and we need your help with set up and tear down.
12:45 pm Registration closes. If you have not arrived and signed in by before registration closes, you will not shoot.
12:45 pm Mandatory safety briefing. You must attend the safety briefing or you will not shoot.
1 pm Match begins
Tear down and clean up following match.
What to Bring
Semi auto or pump shotgun
100 rounds of lead birdshot
Some sort of shell holder
Ear and eye protection (including spectators) as well as footwear that encloses the toes are mandatory (no sandals).
CCW holders cannot carry during the match.
Apple Valley Gun Club is a cold range. Firearms are to remain unloaded until the RSO instructs you to load and make ready. This includes CCW holders.
