PRS Centerfire Rifle Match - Apple Valley Gun Club

PRS Centerfire Rifle Match

The match will consist of reactive steel on the hill at the rifle range.  Hit on first target, you can move to next target.  Targets shot from bench at distances from 200 to 500 yards.

Course of fire is usually two stages with ten shots each and five or six targets from IPSC sized to 3″.  Par time of 90 to 120 seconds depending on target placement and size.

When

Alternating on the first Sunday of each month with Three Gun.  (Check Calendar for exact dates). 

Time

June – September

7 am Set up.  Please arrive for set up.  This is a volunteer match and we need your help with set up and tear down.

7:30 am Registration closes. If you have not arrived and signed in by 7:30 am, you will not shoot.

7:45 am Mandatory safety briefing.  You must attend the safety briefing or you will not shoot.

8 am Match begins

Tear down and clean up following match.  Usually ends by noon.

October – May

What to Bring

We recommend bringing a minimum of 100 rounds.
(No steel core, magnum caliber or armor piercing ammo – ammo will be checked.)

Items that may help small shooting bag to carry, Bipod, binoculars or spotting scope to watch other shooters and find targets may be helpful to help score hits!

Ear and eye protection for spectators as well as footwear that encloses the toes are mandatory (no sandals).

CCW holders cannot carry during the match. Rifle chamber flags are mandatory.
