The Pistol Range (P1, P2, P3 and P4)
The Pistol Range is open for shooting from Sunrise to 10:00 pm. Always check the calendar before coming out. We have four separate large bays. All of the bays have lights for night shooting.
All Range Safety Rules are strictly enforced. Download our AVGC Range Safety Regulations. Please be familiar with all of the Safety Rules.
Only Pistol caliber handguns and .22 rimfire rifles are allowed at the Pistol Range (with exceptions during Matches and special events).
PCC Carbine Usage: Pistol caliber carbines are now allowed on Pistol Ranges P1-P3. Please read Bulletin regarding PCC Carbine usage on Pistol Range prior to utilizing the Pistol Range.
Everyone, even observers, must use approved eye & ear protection. Children must be at least 4 years old to be on the Range. Children must be supervised by an adult at all times.
The Pistol House is the same combo as the gate code. Inside the Pistol House you will find a first aid kit, trauma kit, and AED. You will find eye and ear protection and chamber flags. We have a microwave, coffee maker and refrigerator where you will find water (no charge). There are sodas and snacks available for purchase.
The door in the conex next to the bathrooms has paper and steel targets for you to use. Use the same combo as the gate code to access it.
Steel Shooting
No steel shooting on P4.
Steel must be set up at least 30 feet from where you are shooting from. There are red markers at 30 feet from behind the shooting benches. If you are shooting steel out in the dirt, be sure the steel is set at least feet from where you are standing.
Please move any target stands that may be behind your target to prevent damage.
This is your Range. Please put everything back where you got it and clean up after yourself. Please let the Pistol Chair know if you find anything that needs repair.
