The Junior Rifle Program will use the NRA Program which is a skill development program. The participants will get the Rifle Discipline Patch when they earn the Pro-Marksman award, which is the first award level. As each rating is earned, they will receive a skill rocker, medal, and certificate recognizing their achievement. Progression is self-paced with an emphasis on safety and marksmanship rather than speed.
There will be Coaches and Range Safety Officers on the firing line, with the youth, at all times.
The Junior Rifle Program is open to youth ages 8 to 18 years old. This program will teach organized rifle shooting, with a view toward safe gun handling, use and care of firearms, as well as marksmanship.
