All Ranges are closed during the work party!

4 hour block of work time to help on the range and to get work hours in. Work varies from painting, rock or weed clearing, moving supplies, cleaning, and more. This is mostly light labor work and it is suggested you do not wear good clothing or shoes.

This is the required "General Orientation" for all new probationary members to attend.
You do not need to sign up, just show up at the Adobe Clubhouse.  

The public is welcome to attend our monthly orientation to tour our facilities.

Following the presentation in the Adobe Clubhouse, we will take a walking tour of the entire range.  You will meet all of your Range Chairs and learn the rules for each range. 

Any AVGC member; new or old is welcomed and encouraged to attend the General Orientation to re-familiarize  your self with AVGC, all the ranges, and everything we have to offer at our Club.

This event is to learn to shoot shotguns in a tactical manner in a casual, competitive event. Set up is similar to the Practical Pistol match. For example, shooting from cover and movement will be involved.

Tactical Shotgun Match 3rd Sunday of the month

Tactical shotgun is a fun competition using shotguns, shooting behind cover and movement to multiple shooting positions, engaging a combination of clay, steel, and aerial targets. There will be a handicap time credit for shotguns with lower capacity so any style shotgun will work.

There will be one stage of 15-20 targets and we will shoot it 2-3 times depending on time. Some sort of belt shell holder would be recommended to carry your reloads

Matches are open to members and non-members alike, so bring a friend!  If you are coming to the Match for the first time and would like someone to team up with you to help you feel comfortable and answer any of your questions just let us know!  We welcome new participants!

12:30pm set up.  Please arrive for set up. This is a volunteer match and we need your help with set up and tear down.
12:45pm Registration closes. If you have not arrived and signed up by 12:45pm, you will not shoot.
 Mandatory Safety Briefing after setup is completed. You must attend the safety briefing or you will not shoot.

Tear down and clean up to follow.  Please come early to help with set up.  Without volunteer participation with set-up, tear-down, being an RO, scoring, taping & resetting targets and/or other tasks, we would not be able to host these events.

Apple Valley Gun Club is a cold range.  Firearms are to remain unloaded until the RSO instructs you to load and make ready. This includes CCW holders.
