Requalification Course
If your CA CCW will expire in the next 90 days, or if your CCW has already expired, schedule your Range Date for your Re-Qualification.
Everyone is now required to attend an 8 hour in-person class, which includes a written test and range qualification with each firearm.
California CCW Range Qualification for the San Bernardino County Sheriffs Department is conducted regularly at Apple Valley Gun Club.
NOTE: Renewals that expire AFTER September 1st, 2026, will need to have a completed LIVESCAN uploaded BEFORE their 90th day expired (grace period) runs out. All livescans, Sheriff locations, documents and vouchers are located on the SBCSD website. Your renewal permit can not be issued until the Department obtains a fresh approval letter from the DOJ. You are encouraged to start the renewal process 90 days before you expire in order to prevent down time without an active permit.
