NRA Basics of Pistol Shooting
Learn the basic knowledge, skills and attitude for owning and operating a pistol safely - great for all levels of shooters.
The NRA Basics of Pistol Shooting is a one or two-day certified course combining classroom instruction and range time. It covers gun safety, ammunition, shooting fundamentals, and pistol selection and maintenance. Students receive course materials and, upon completion, an official NRA certificate.

The course is intended for all regardless of previous shooting experience. The goal of the course is to teach the basic knowledge, skills and attitude for owning and operating a pistol safely.
Basics of Pistol Shooting Course Details & Online Registration
All AVGC firearms training classes and matches are open to the public.
The gate will be unlocked and open when you arrive and will be locked shortly after the event or class starts. Please arrive on time or early.
Online registration only. No walk-ins will be allowed.
