Parents Must Accompany Minors on the Range at all times.  Dropping off and picking up is NOT ALLOWED.

The Junior Pistol Program is open to youth ages 8 to 18 years old. This program will teach organized pistol shooting, with a view toward safe gun handling, use and care of firearms as well as marksmanship.

The goal of the Junior Pistol program is to teach young people how to safely and responsibly handle firearms as well as safely and accurately shoot bullseye targets. Each student handling a pistol will have a coach with them until the firearm is secured and they are off the line.

The program will help develop self- discipline, team play, and self-reliance essential to good sportsmanship.

• All Participants must attend an Orientation before participating in the Junior Pistol Program. NO Exceptions.
• All participants are required to wear approved eye and ear protection which we will provide. A ball cap is required to be worn on the firing line. (Electronic ear protection is encouraged but not required.)
• All participants are required to wear closed toe shoes. No scoop or low cut shirts will be allowed. A regular tee shirt is recommended. This is for safety.

The Junior Pistol Program will use the NRA Marksmanship Qualification program which is a skill development program. The participants will get the Pistol Discipline Patch when they start the program. As each rating is earned, they will receive a skill rocker, medal, pin and certificate award recognizing the achievement. Progression is self-paced.

Each participant will have a one-on-one coach with them at all times on the firing line.  Range Safety Officers will always be present.

First and third Wednesday of the month from 6 pm to 7:30 pm.

Cost

There is a $25 annual fee for participation. This covers all ammunition, pistol usage, Awards, approved eye and ear protection. There is a $3.00 per night range fee.

We will provide 22cal firearms. You may not bring your own firearm.
