Women's Programs

Women’s Programs

The Apple Valley Gun Club offers an expanding program of shooting and educational programs for women and girls in the High Desert. We offer the NRA Women on Target Instructional Shooting Clinics as well as monthly clinics, seminars, and shoots for women and girls. Upcoming events are listed below:

Friday Night Women’s Program Clinics

Women’s Program events are held on the 2nd Friday of each month (except for the months we have Pistol Night for men & women).  We begin at 6:00 pm with dinner, a presentation on Safe Gun Handling and the fundamentals of shooting followed by going to the range to shoot.  We usually finish by 9:00 pm.

We use Eventbrite.com for our registration.  Event prices includes dinner, instruction, use of firearms, and ammunition.

The Women’s Program Pistol Clinic will be held at our outdoor pistol range under lights. We will have revolvers and semi-automatic handguns of various sizes and calibers for you to try with the added benefit of an instructor/coach at your side to assist you. If you have eye and ear protection you should bring them, if not we have them to loan.

****If you own a handgun and wish to bring it, you may.

PLEASE leave it in your car until directed to get it by an RSO. You will need to bring your own ammunition if your firearm is anything other than a .22lr, 9mm, .38special, .40S&W, or .45acp.

Cost: $30 each plus a small processing fee.

Price includes dinner, instruction, use of pistols, and ammunition.

*Pre-registration is required and fees are refundable if requested one week prior to the event. The clinic is limited to the first 24 ladies to register/pay. No emailed RSVP’s will be accepted.
