Judge Roger Benitez has ruled background checks to purchase ammunition is unconstitutional. This is Judge Benitez’s final ruling and grants a permanent injunction against enforcing the ammunition background checks in Penal Code sections 30352 and 30370(a) through (e). The judge also enjoined enforcement of “anti-importation” provisions found in Penal Code sections 30312(a) and (b) and 30314(a). The Judge did not issue a stay of his ruling pending appeal, so we will see if the case is appealed and whether the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals grants a stay. Read article on CRPA.org.

- [NRA Personal Protection Inside the Home Shooting Class](https://applevalleygunclub.com/firearms-training-classes/nra-personal-protection-inside-the-home-shooting-class/): NRA Personal Protection Inside the Home Shooting class is an eight-hour course covering the safe and effective use of a handgun for personal and home defense, including basic shooting skills, home safety strategies, and self-defense law. Students will fire approximately 150 rounds and learn how to choose a handgun for self-defense. Notably, the legal portion of the course is taught by a California-licensed attorney, covering firearms law and the legal aspects of self-defense.

You may use an IWB or OWB holster (at the discretion of the match director). We loosely follow IDPA match rules with the focus on best use of cover, target assessment, tactical engagement and accuracy. The primary objective is always safety. You will shoot from behind or around barriers and from various shooting positions. Targets include paper and steel, some static, some moving and some reactionary.
