CCW Prep Course

San Bernardino County CCW Preparation Course

When

This class is held on the second Tuesday of the month.

The Apple Valley Gun Club offers a CCW Prep Course. This class is to help you prepare for the shooting portion of your CCW qualification and does not cover the legal responsibilities of concealed carry.

On the range you will shoot the same style target, B-27, that is used by the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Office.

The class includes both classroom and range time. There will be discussion on the fundamentals of shooting, such as grip, stance, sight picture, sight alignment, breath control, trigger control and shot placement.

What to Bring

Bring the firearms you have or will list on your CCW application. You are allowed up to three (3) firearms. You will have the opportunity to shoot more than once, so it is recommended that you bring one box of 50 rounds of ammunition per firearm.

Please leave your firearm and ammunition in your locked vehicle until instructed otherwise by an instructor.

Adequate eye and hearing protection. Although not required, it is strongly recommended that you bring electronic hearing protection. Electronic hearing protection will allow you to hear all instruction, range commands and receive the most benefit from the course.

Time will be spent outside, so please dress accordingly for the weather.

Pen, pencil and notepad.
